Editorial Policy
How Orbilo selects, researches, writes, and maintains every piece of content published on the platform.
Orbilo operates under a strict editorial framework designed to guarantee technical accuracy, editorial neutrality, and reader trust. This document describes the principles and processes that govern content creation on the platform.
Content Selection Criteria
Orbilo covers cryptocurrencies, blockchain protocols, and digital asset technologies that have documented technical specifications, an active development history, and publicly verifiable on-chain activity. Projects are included on the basis of their technical significance and educational relevance, never on the basis of commercial agreements, token sponsorships, or promotional payments.
Research Process
Every article begins with primary source research. Our standard references include: official whitepapers and protocol documentation, peer-reviewed academic publications, public on-chain data and blockchain explorers, documentation from core development teams and foundations, and transcripts of official governance votes. Secondary sources are only used to corroborate primary findings and are never cited alone.
Writing Standards
Content is written in neutral, technically precise language. We do not use promotional adjectives, price predictions, or yield projections. Each article describes how a technology works, what problems it aims to solve, and what its documented limitations are. The editorial voice is that of an informed observer, not an advocate or a critic.
Review and Fact-Checking
Before publication, each article is reviewed for: technical accuracy against primary sources, factual completeness, internal consistency, and the complete absence of promotional or speculative language. Corrections submitted by readers are evaluated by the editorial team and applied when technically verified.
Update Policy
Content is updated whenever a protocol undergoes a significant consensus-layer change, a major governance vote, a network upgrade, or a meaningful architectural revision. The date of the most recent editorial review is recorded in the article metadata. Orbilo does not let content become stale for commercial reasons.
Independence and Conflicts of Interest
Orbilo does not accept sponsored content, paid token listings, affiliate commissions, or advertising from cryptocurrency projects. The platform has no financial relationships with any of the projects it covers. The author, André Carvalho Tavares, is the sole editorial decision-maker and is not compensated by any third party for content decisions.
